Gear processing methods and guidelines


  1. Tooth grinding: IT6 ~ IT4 → IT3, Ra: 0.8 ~ 0.2μm Principle: forming method and generating method.

  2. Research tooth:
  IT7 to IT6, Ra: 1.6 to 0.2 μm Equipment: Lapping machine. Rig: Precision cast iron gears. Abrasive: Abrasive: 220#~240#, Active Lubricant Features: Same as enamel, can only reduce the surface roughness, can not improve the tooth profile accuracy.
  Parallel axis grinding method:
